Hot Blade portable rope cutter and mini-blow torch.The Hot Blade is a portable mini blow torch with a rope cutting attachment. It runs on butane gas stored in a refillable cartridge. Ideal for on-board use. As a rope cutter the Hot Blade can handle line up to 18mm, leaving neatly sealed ends. It can also cut and seal webbing, synthetic ‘canvas’ and sailcloth. The swing down rope cutting blade is heated by the blow torch flame and cuts through synthetic line like a knife through butter. A metal plate is attached to the tool to provide a safe cutting surface. As a blow torch the Hot Blade can be used to seal electrical connectors, apply heat to jammed components, melt solder, de-ice locks and more.
